We collect as little as we need, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who we are

Kiraben is an Australian business, ABN 85 623 817 667. You can reach us at hello@kiraben.com.au.

What we collect

When you buy something: your name, email address, delivery address, phone number (if you give it), and what you ordered.

When you join our mailing list: your email address, and your first name if you give it.

When you email us: whatever you choose to tell us.

Automatically, when you visit: basic analytics such as which pages you looked at, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you used. This is not tied to your name.

What we do NOT collect

We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by a secure, PCI-compliant checkout. Your card number never touches our website.

Why we collect it

To take your order, send it to you, and deliver your downloads. To answer your questions and fix problems. To send you our newsletter — but only if you asked for it. To understand which parts of the site people find useful. To meet our tax and record-keeping obligations.

Who we share it with

The services we use to run and promote the shop: Shopify, for payments, checkout and order management. Australia Post, for your delivery address so your order can reach you. Our email provider, to send you the newsletter you signed up for. Our website host and analytics provider. Meta (Facebook and Instagram), when you arrive from or shop through our Facebook or Instagram pages: we use the Meta Pixel to see which visits and sales come from our social media and to improve any ads we run. Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you, under its own privacy policy.

Some of these providers store data overseas, including in the United States.

We do not sell your personal information. Not ever, and not to anyone.

Email & unsubscribing

We only email you if you asked us to, or if you've bought from us. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and we act on it immediately. You can also just email us and ask.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep your shopping cart working and to understand how the site is used. We also use a Meta Pixel, which sets cookies so we can understand visits from Facebook and Instagram. You can manage this in your browser or in your Facebook ad preferences, and a browser ad blocker will stop it. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though the cart may stop working if you do.

Children

Our products are made for children, but our shop is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we'll delete them.

Keeping it safe, and how long we keep it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. We keep order records for as long as the law requires (generally 5 years for tax purposes), and mailing list details until you unsubscribe.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever occurred that was likely to cause you serious harm, we would notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@kiraben.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of the page.
